Other recreational opportunities
The marina offers many water sport activities. Furthermore, it is possible to ride, to play tennis, to go on safari, to go to the Zoo de Lagos or Zoo Marine or to fly with a microlite. You will reach Sagres, the most western spot of Europe in 45 minutes.
Cabo de S. Vincente, Monchique and Silves are only a 30 minute drive away. The water park Slide, Splash and Big One is found at the same distance. There are 5 wonderful golf courses, from which Palmares is only a 5 minute drive away (Meia Praia).
Holiday destination
Lagos is one of the prettiest cities of the western Algarve and only one hour away from the airport in Faro (by car).
The old town is almost completely fenced in the old city walls.
Lagos has always been a market town with fishing port, fish auction and luxurious marina.
In the local area, there are numerous reasonable and varied restaurants. At the marina, you will find many shops, bars and restaurants within a radius of 200mtr.
The supermarket Pingo Doce and the railway station are 300 mtr. away.
To reach the sea, it only takes a short stroll of 10 minutes across pretty paths along the old fishing port.
You will find magnificent sandy beaches up to a length of 5km to the bay of Alvors.
The centre of Lagos can be reached within 5 minutes on foot via a footbridge.
Getting there
By plane to Faro.
From Faro to Lagos: Rent a car at the airport, the manager Erik Heijselaar can handle this for you. Young cars, full insured at a good price.
By train to Lagos, take a bus or taxi to the rail station Faro. Lagos Rail station 3 minutes from the apartment.
By taxi from airport to Lagos 80 Km. or book a transfer by the manager or internet.

Wir haben uns mit unseren Kindern 13 u. 15 Jahre in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles was das Herz begehrt ist gut auch ohne Auto zu erreichen. Für ein Auto gibt es aber auch unten im Haus einen Parkplatz. Die Lage der Wohnung ist recht zentral zur schönen Altstadt und auch zum herrlichem Strand von Lagos, beides ist fußläufig gut zu erreichen. Sehr schön ist auch, dass die Poolanlage des nahegelegenen Hotels zu nutzen ist. In der Wohnung hat es uns an nichts gefehlt, wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen.

Sehr schöne geräumige,saubere Wohnung. Netter Empfang und nach einer Woche Handtuch-und Bettwäschewechsel. Die Lage ist sehr gut, man ist in einer Viertelstd zu Fuss in der Altstadt. Nur zu empfehlen.
