Holiday destination
The wine village Koewerich is located at the river Moselle between Treves and Bernkastel-Kues and offers numerous cycling and hiking trails that lead across the vineyards and along the river.
The following destinations are worth a trip (by boat, bus or car):
Germany's oldest city Treves, the town of Bernkastel-Kues, the gemstone city Idar-Oberstein, the grand duchy Luxembourg, the mountain range Eifel with its maars and many more.
It is said that the Romans already spent their holidays here - to enjoy our mild climate, the tranquility and special setting around the landscape aside the river Moselle.
Getting there
By car: motorway A1/48, exit no. 128 Foehren, towards Leiwen/Thoernich, after 4 km across the Moselle bridge, turn left behind the bridge, 2.5 km to the village of Koewerich - Kapellenstr.
by bus/train:
main station Treves, continue by bus to Bernkastel

Wir waren im Oktober 2017 zum ersten mal zu Gast im Ferienweingut Winnebeck. Nach einem freundlichen Empfang bezogen wir unsere Ferienwohnung "Held". Wir fanden eine geräumige, gut ausgestattete und saubere Wohnung vor.
Die Besichtigung des Weinkellers mit anschließender Weinverkostung fanden wir sehr schön.
Die Lage des Weingutes eignet sich sehr gut für Ausflüge nach Trier und Bernkastel- Kues.
Dieses Ferienweingut ist einfach empfehlenswert.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal bei Fam. Winnebeck zu Gast und alle unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Wir trafen auf sehr herzliche, hilfsbereite und jederzeit ansprechbare Gastgeber und hatten mit der Wohnung "Laurentiuslay" (ident. mit "Held") eine große, sehr saubere Wohnung. Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren vorhanden, spart Platz im Gepäck.
Wir hatten das Glück sogar 2x an der Weinverköstigung teilnehmen zu können, der Wein ist sehr zu empfehlen.
Die Umgebung bietet neben dem wunderschönen Moseltal (ideal zum Radfahren) viele tolle Angebote. Trier, Luxemburg, Bernkastel sind schöne Städte. Das Leiwener Freibad ist voll empfehlenswert, die Vulkaneifel (u.a. Eifelpark Gondorf) ist nah und und und. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis in der Region stimmt.
Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!
