If you are looking for a central location to enjoy the Côte d'Argent - Silver Coast - on the French Atlantic, you will find this starting point in our holiday home. Situated on a 3,700 m² plot surrounded by forest on a quiet side street, the location is the starting point for a variety of activities. The fully equipped holiday home has a private garden of about 500 m². The 10 * 5 m large pool on the property can be used at any time.
The daily large market in Montalivet with fresh specialties is pure French way of life. You either enjoy there or buy the things for the preparation on the high-quality grill or in the kitchen in the house. The seaside resort of Montalivet has a lot of shops, bars and restaurants. In the evening you can end the day or immerse yourself in the colorful nightlife.
The house is located about 1 km from the center of Vendays. In the center there are 3 bakers, 4 restaurants, a supermarket, several small shops and 2 gas stations. The seaside resort of Montalivet with its bars, restaurants and shops can be reached in 10 minutes by car. A well-developed cycle path to Montalivet is part of the large cycle paths network in this area.
Getting there
By car, the best way is to take the A10 motorway, exit Saintes, direction Royan. From there take the ferry across the Girondé estuary to Pointe de Grave. From the ferry it is appr. 35 km to Vendays. The journey via Bordeaux is also possible, it is a bit longer but you drive through beautiful landscapes to Vendays-Montalivet.
By plane you can fly to Bordeaux-Merignac. By train you can travel via Bordeaux and Lesparre. Even a long-distance bus goes to Bordeaux.

Host informationTogether with our youngest son, we realized our dream in 2017 and moved to France. We live and feel, as we described Mrs ¡Anders. "la petite maison des rêves" gave us the opportunity to make a holiday home for our guests as we like it.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich mit einem liebevollen "Begrüßungspaket" willkommen geheißen. Das kleine, aber feine Ferienhäuschen ist liebevoll und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. In der Küche fehlt es an nichts, wir haben gekocht und gebacken und es steht ein großer Grill bereit. Unter dem Pavillion sitzt man gemütlich und geschützt, der Pool ist herrlich und kann jederzeit genutzt werden und die Betten sorgen für einen erholsamen Schlaf- was will man mehr!
Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich (die Vierbeiner auch), hilfsbereit und immer ansprechbar. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Das Ferienhäuschen können wir wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

Schon bei der Ankunft durften wir eure tolle Gastfreundschaft genießen und haben uns sofort wohl mit euch und den drei freunlichen Vierbeinern wohl gefühlt. Wir haben schon viele Ferienhäuser gesehen, aber die liebevolle Ausstattung des Hauses und und das "Willkommenspaket" für die Grundbedürfnisse (Wein, Wasser, Kaffee, Butter, selbstgemachte Marmelade......) war schon einzigartig. Im Garten mit dem schönen Pavillion haben wir ruhige und entspannte Stunden verbracht. Gerne kommen wir wieder. Lasst es euch weiterhin gut gehen, alle Liebe von Ulf und Bettina aus Düsseldorf
