Attractions: The Canton Paimpol- Goelo is a country shaped by history, where legends and mysteries come together. Also the deep religiosity has left its mark here.
A trip to the "Temple de Lanleff" or a steam train ride through the Trieux Valley to Pontrieux with a stop at the "Manoir de Traou Nez" are worthwhile. The Abbaye maritime de Beauport, founded in 1202, invites you to visit various events throughout the summer. But almost anywhere you can find witnesses of the past, e.g. Chapels, Calvaires and Holy Springs.
In Paimpol, the city of the Icelandic fishermen, you can still find traces of this epoch, which has shaped the country and its people.
Excursions: Our holiday home is the ideal starting point for excursions to the surrounding area to get to know Brittany. On a trip to the Côte de Granit rose, you can marvel at bizarre rock formations and visit the cathedral in Tréguier. A day trip takes you to Mont St. Michel and St. Malo. The medieval castle Fort La Latte and Cap Frehel are worth a visit. The Ile de Brehat with its Mediterranean vegetation can be reached in about 15 minutes by boat. But there are also interesting places to discover in the interior of Brittany. And St. Brieuc and Lannion invite you to stroll through the city.
Holiday destination
Beaches: The distance to the beach is 900 meters.
Discover along the coast, nestled between the cliffs, many small and large sandy and shingle beaches that invite you to swim or, at low tide, to look for shells. For example, very popular beaches are Brehec Plage in Plouézec and Plage Bonaparte in Plouha. Brehec Plage can be easily reached on foot. But maybe you will also find your own little paradise bay during your walks by the sea.
Here's a hint about the tides:
The tidal range is very high here on the coast. Therefore, on some beaches you can only bathe at low tide, since the water comes up to the rocks at high tide. But a tide table gives you information about this.
