Holiday destination
Egmond aan Zee is an old fishing village with a pittoresque center, many restaurants and shops, also open on sundays. The village is surrounded by vast areas of dunes, heath and forest. There is a beacon and a museum, a sport center with fitness, sauna, tennis. The closest (indoor) swimming poolcan be found in Bergen.
The apartment is located in a quiet area, but the distance to the beach is only about 150 m, and to the center about 250 m.
There are many routes for bikers and mountainbikers, possibilities for horse-riding and a school for surfing. It is 10 km to the culturally rich Bergen/Noordholland, 12 km to Alkmaar with its famous cheese market, 50 km to Amsterdam.
Getting there
A9 to Alkmaar, follow 'den Helder', turn left to 'Egmond', follow 'Egmond aan Zee', at the stoplight go left to 'Centrum', turn left to 'Strand-Zuid', before Snackbar Duinvoet turn left, then right away to the right(Eisenhowerstraat), straight ahead and directly onto parking spot nr. 3
