The centrally located Limmen and its surroundings are the ideal starting point on the coast for the holiday you want. Family vacation in a child-friendly environment, sports and activity, culture, or a wonderful beach holiday.
Within a 30-minute drive, you can reach beautiful and typically Dutch cities such as Alkmaar, Amsterdam, Bergen, Schoorl, Hoorn, Zandvoort, or Haarlem. Or the fantastic polder areas of 'de Beemster' or 'de Rijp' and 'Schermer'.
In Uitgeest, there is the large water sports area 'Het Alkmaardermeer' - swimming, canoeing, surfing, boat rental - everything is available, including a few small beaches.
Within 4 km is the North Holland 'Duinreservaat' - a fantastic nature reserve for cycling and walking.
You can go fishing in the nearby area (1000 m)
About 750 m from the apartment, there is a bus stop and in Castricum and Uitgeest a train station.

The centrally located Limmen and its surroundings are the ideal starting point on the coast for the vacation you desire. Whether you're looking for sport and activity, culture, or a wonderful beach holiday, this is the place to be. Beautiful cycling and walking paths lead through picturesque villages, dunes, and polder landscapes all the way to the beach.
The apartment is situated on the western edge of Limmen in the municipality of Castricum (5 km). Castricum is a charming seaside resort with a beautiful, miles-long sandy beach and beach pavilions, a shopping center (2.5 km), and a pretty village core with restaurants, shops, and terraces.
You can reach the beach via beautiful cycling paths or by car. Parking is available at the beach (about 6 Euro per day). In Limmen, you'll find 'Hortus Bulborum', the only bulb flower garden in the world where 2500 different varieties of tulips, daffodils, etc., bloom. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub, alles sehr zentral. Die Strände in der Umgebung wie immer traumhaft.
Die Wohnung war wunderbar, alles absolut toll, sauber gepflegt und nur zu empfehlen.
Die Vermieter waren total super,sehr hilfsbereit und haben tolle Tipps gegeben. Wir haben uns seeeehr wohl gefühlt.
