Winter: (Mid-December until Easter)
A 7 km-long high altitude skiing trail runs right past the house and is connected to Pinzgau's 200 km-long cross-country skiing trail network - enjoy the terrific view of the Zillertal Alps and the Hohe Tauern mountain range.
A beautiful winter hiking trail starts practically on your doorstep, leading to the Filzstein via the mountain pasture 'Duxeralm'. The hike takes about 30 minutes.
Snow is guaranteed on the gorgeous high plateau of Hochkrimml (Gerlosplatte), which makes for a perfect skiing holiday with access to the Zillertal Arena. Due to its fabulous ski runs, the Funpark and a ski school, which are more or less right outside your door, the ski area Hochkrimml is ideal for families. Various slopes allow you to ski directly to your accommodation in the snowy mountain village. The Sonnwendkopf cable car offers easy access to the Zillertal Arena.
Summer:
Recharge your batteries, build up new strength and let yourself be enchanted by Hochkrimml's fascinating nature, including the gorgeous mountain scenery. It doesn't matter whether you to choose to hike to your favourite mountain hut or prefer Nordic walking, cycling, swimming or standup paddleboarding on the reservoir Durlaßboden (you can also rent pedal boats). Come and see for yourself what Hochkrimml has to offer during the summer.
Only a 15-minute drive away: the Krimml Waterfalls -Europe's highest waterfalls- with their thunderous water masses are a true experience for the whole family.
The surrounding area offers numerous possibilities for hikes to alpine huts or mounaineering.
Holiday destination
Our cosy apartment "Alpenglück" is situated in the mountain village Silberleiten on the Gerlosplatte at 1700 altitude, surrounded by the Zillertal Alps. It is the perfect base for a skiing holiday in one of Austria's ski areas with the most reliable snow conditions. Our flat has a private entrance and is situated exactly below the Plattenkogel lift that can be reached via stairs in just 2 minutes. You can ski directly to the front door. Dogs are more than welcome!
Getting there
Travelling from Germany, the fastest route is via Kufstein (please be aware that there's a road toll) and through the Ziller valley. (No road toll if you travel via Achensee).
Once you've reached Zell am Ziller, turn onto the Gerlos Pass, drive past the reservoir and after approx. 1 km, make a right towards Silberleiten.
Snow chains are required in wintry weather conditions.

Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Wege zum Lift, Skiausleih und Restaurant sind kurz.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
