Other recreational opportunities
Within a radius of 10 to 40 km - Active holidaymakers will find a wide range of different sports, games, and leisure activities to fully enjoy, such as mountain biking, fishing, surfing, yacht charter, etc. Depending on your individual holiday ideas, cultural attractions are also quickly accessible. Fazana, or the Brijuni Islands National Park, with its unique flora and fauna, is about a 15-minute drive away. Pula, known as the cultural center of Istria, is a port city.
Holiday destination
You can comfortably reach the beach in Posesi on foot. The large sandy beach and the harbor promenade of Medulin are easily accessible via the beach promenade. A large number of restaurants, cafes, and bars are available in the area. Medulin also offers plenty of shopping opportunities, with several supermarkets such as Lidl, Plodine, or Konzum. Various bakeries ensure you can get fresh rolls as well. Excursions can be easily started from here. Pula, with its large amphitheater and famous weekly market, is reachable by car in 10-15 minutes. Alternatively, you can simply hop on the bus and enjoy a stress-free ride to and from Pula without worrying about parking (a bus stop is about 5 minutes from the house). If you want to bring your bikes, Medulin offers a number of marked bike trails. You can also rent a bike locally if needed. You can also quickly and easily start trips to the excursion areas of Kamenjak National Park with its beautiful beaches or to the bays of Liznjan, Sisan.
Getting there
The easiest way to get there from Germany is to take the A8 motorway Munich Salzburg. From there, simply continue onto the A10 Tauern motorway towards Villach. Then proceed towards Ljubljana, Koper. In Koper, you can either turn towards the Dragonja-Kastel border crossing, or head towards Portoroz and use the small border crossing there. Now drive towards Pula-Medulin.
