Our lovingly renovated holiday home is situated in a small scattered settlement called Mooswald on the southern slope of the Mirnock. Mooswald has become known as the home of the skier and Olympic champion Franz Klammer.
The house was built in 1564, has a storied history, and has been under heritage protection for many years. Despite the flair of past centuries, it offers every conceivable comfort. In our restoration, we have always endeavored to preserve the original character of the house. Our guests appreciate the large rooms, the tasteful decor, the sauna area, and the many retreats that our house offers for restful hours.

Hiking, mountain biking right from the house, swimming and sailing in Lake Millstatt 15 minutes by car, 3 thermal baths within 30 minutes by car, bicycle rental in Feistritz, horseback riding in the immediate vicinity, sauna in the house, cross-country ski trail behind the house, ice skating rink in Fresach, Nordic walking tours in Fresach, 3 ski resorts (Bad Kleinkirchheim, Gerlitzen, and Goldegg) within 30 minutes by car.
The next larger town in the valley is Feistritz/Drau. There you will find several supermarkets where you can shop well and at reasonable prices. In Fresach (about a 5-minute drive away), there is the highly recommended village inn and a village shop with predominantly regional products.
Coming from the Tauern motorway, take the Feistritz/Paternion exit. Once you have reached the town of Feistritz, turn left at the main road. In about 500 meters, turn right towards Fresach. You will drive over the Drau river and past the train station. After the train station, take the road up the mountain towards Fresach. After a few bends, you will come to another junction towards Fresach. Go through the town of Fresach and then follow the sign "Ferienhaus Rothe". Above Fresach, turn left once in the forest, then further up turn right. Then there are two long bends. After that, you will have reached your destination.

For cancellations up to 8 weeks before the start of the booking, the deposit will be fully refunded; thereafter, a 50% refund will be given if no replacement booking can be made. The final payment will only be refunded if there is a replacement booking for the reserved period. In this case, the entire payment, including the security deposit minus a handling fee of 50 €, will be refunded. For cancellations within the 4-week period, the security deposit will of course be refunded in any case.
