Holiday destination
Pure nature! The Schorfheide forms one of the largest contiguous forested areas in Central Europe with many truly beautiful and clear swimming lakes. There are among others (Guided) hiking tours through the Grumsin beech forest. The flat terrain offers perfect conditions for cycling, e.g. around the lakes. Not too far away you will find the Brodowin eco-village with its farm shop. You can get supplies here and also in Joachimsthal, where there are three supermarkets. Kulturhaus Heidekrug 2.0 features a communal theatre and cinema.
Getting there
By car: via A11, Joachimsthal exit. Then right onto Angermünder Straße (B198 / L220) to Joachimsthal. Shortly after the town sign you will find the holiday village area with a mini golf course. There you turn right and drive about 100 m further towards Kiefernweg. Follow this about 100 m to the accommodation, which is indicated with a sign.
By train: Berlin Hbf via Eberswalde to Joachimsthal, then about 20 minutes on foot to the accommodation. I can pick you up from the train station upon prior arrangement.

Bereits die Kontaktaufnahme zur Anreise funktionierte hervorragend. Die Vermieterin hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und uns kurz die technischen Gegebenheiten der Wohnung erklärt. Die Ferienwohnung hat eine hochwertige Ausstattung. Alles war sauber und ordentlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können die Ferienwohnung wärmstens empfehlen.
Ansonsten ist man in wenigen Schritten mitten in der Natur und am Badestrand mit Liegewiese. Bei einem 45 minütigen Spaziergang erreicht man den Naturbeobachtungspunkt Althüttendorf direkt am Grimnitzsee. Dort gibt es zu allen Jahreszeiten gute Beobachtungsmöglichkeiten von Stand-, Strich- und Zugvögeln. Im Spätherbst jedoch sind es täglich Hunderte von Vögeln, die am Ufer des Grimnitzsees rasten, bevor sie ihren weiten Weg in die wärmeren Gefilde antreten.

Jetzt, wo die Tage wieder kürzer werden, erinnern wir uns sehr gern an eine erholsame Woche mit unseren 3 Enkel in einer hochwertig, liebe- und geschmackvoll eingerichteten Ferienwohnung mit Terrasse und Garten. Frau Brunkhorst war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben uns willkommen und wohl gefühlt. Der kurze Weg zum See, der anfangs flach und für Kinder sehr geeignet ist, rundete den Urlaub ab.
