Even in hot summers, the little Vivo river carries pleasantly cool, crystal-clear water from Monte Amiata through a shady deciduous forest. By car, you can reach the small bathing area, which is ideal for children, in about 10 minutes.

Via the Brenner Pass on the A22 Brenner motorway to the A1 Milan -Naples or coming from the west via Gotthard or Sankt Berndino directly onto the A1. Continue on the A1 past Bologna to the Florence Impruneta exit, from there, take the expressway to Siena to the Siena Sud exit. Take the SS2 towards Rome, past Buon Convento and San Quirico d'Orcia to Bagno Vignoni, 200m after Bagno, turn right onto the SR323, drive through Rocca d'Orcia, Poggio Rosa to Seggiano.

Selten haben wir unseren Urlaub in einem derart geschichtsträchtigen, liebevoll restaurierten und eingerichteten Haus verbracht. Zusätzlich ist uns Frau Abele unaufdringlich, aber mit wertvollen Ratschlägen zur Erkundung der Umgebung zur Seite gestanden. So haben wir durchaus vor, wieder zu kommen. PS: Man sollte den Genius loci zu würdigen wissen.
