The vacation home, a former small Ticino winery, was thoroughly renovated and extended in 1980 by Zurich architect Ello Katzenstein. It is located in a natural oasis of a private property of 4,500 sqm.
The tasteful studio apartment (approx. 100 sqm) with wooden parquet flooring, includes two spacious bedrooms, each with a bathroom, and in the center a large living room with a Bösendorfer concert grand piano in mint condition, which may be used by arrangement.
An antique chestnut wardrobe, the rustic dining table with old Ticino chairs, together with the comfortable white sofa in front of the large fireplace, create a neat Ticino atmosphere.
The well-equipped kitchen has an enchanting balcony seating area overlooking Lake Maggiore and invites you to linger in the shade of an old glicine.
A large lawn with granite seating area provides relaxation and socializing with a variety of games and a sandbox for the little ones.
The apartment has, among other things, a small art library with wonderful illustrated books of famous painters.
In the large natural garden with old vines, olive trees, cypresses, chestnuts and palm trees, you will find flowering meadows and a small stream babbling down the slope. Birdsong delights the ear. Many paths with hidden places to sit invite you to explore the small natural paradise.
In the spacious living room is a very nice, as new Bösendorfer grand piano available.

The apartment is located in a beautiful, sunny position on the hillside above Locarno/Minusio with a panoramic view over Lake Maggiore, in a large park on the hiking trail "Sentiero Collina bassa".
The sun spoils you even in winter with mild warmth and a dreamlike panoramic view over the glittering Lake Maggiore.
On the service road in 5 minutes walk you can reach the public bus stop on Via Brione. From there you can reach Locarno train station by bus in about 10 minutes.
