The nicest thing to do during the "darker" seasons is to take long walks on the large sandy beach, past the cliffs or through the harbour.

A spacious living and dining area with an open plan kitchen are at your disposal for enjoying quality time together
If the weather is bad, the comfortable lounge corner invites you to relax together and watch TV using the large flat screen TV (Vodafone Giga TV).
Also, one of the sofas can be converted into a double bed in just a few simple steps to accommodate parties of 5 or 6 people.
The large dining table, with ample seating for 6, can become the dining and gameplay central for the duration of your stay (a selection of board games is provided).
The open plan kitchen is fully equipped (with a ceramic hob, oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, egg cooker), making it so you don't have to rely on restaurants during your holiday.
Up a (relatively steep) staircase in the living room, you make your way to the spacious open bedroom on the top floor (known as "de Böhn" in the Low German dialect) with a double bed (180x200 cm) and the attached separate children's room with 2 single beds (90x200 cm) .
The apartment is also suitable for small children (there are banisters, and baby and children's chairs are available).
The apartment thus offers enough places to withdraw to so that everyone can find a quiet place to enjoy a book alone.
And if you keep your eyes peeled, you'll be able to see between the roofs the upper decks of the Baltic Sea ferries that pass by regularly.
Getting there
It's a five minute walk to the apartment from the train station (Hafen - Harbour), which trains from Hamburg Central Station arrive at every hour.

Die FeWo liegt zentral in 2. Reihe ohne Parkplatz. Ein- und Ausladen geht vorm Haus. Die FeWo ist im 1. Stock, durch eine Außentreppe mit eigenem Eingang im Hof zu erreichen. Die Außenbeleuchtung im Dunkeln ist mau. Wir haben in der Küche das Licht angelassen, durch das Fenster wurde die Treppe etwas beleuchtet. Unten ist ein Bad mit Dusche und Sauna und ein sehr großer Kombiraum (Küche, Ess-/Wohnzimmer). Die Küche ist gut eingerichtet mit genügend Geschirr und Gläsern. Im Wohnbereich gibt es ein Schlafsofa. Die FeWo ist kinderfreundlich. Es gibt z.B. Spiele, Kinderhochstuhl, im Bad für das Waschbecken einen Tritthocker und im OG vor der Treppe ein Gitter. Oben findet sich ein Zimmer mit DB und ein Zimmer mit 2 EB. Wegen der Schrägen gibt es keine Kleiderschränke, aber genug Stauraum durch Kommoden.

Die Fewo befindet sich in zentraler Lage nahe der Trave-Promenade - ideal zum Bummeln, Ausgehen oder zum Schiffegucken. Das alte Fachwerkhaus hat ein tolles Ambiente und überzeugt mit einem offenen Raumkonzept. Die Küche ist gut durchdacht und bestens ausgestattet. Das moderne Bad mit Sauna dürfte insbes. nach Spaziergängen in der kalten Jahreszeit seinen Reiz haben. Einen Punktabzug gibt es lediglich für die -nach unserem Geschmack- nicht ausreichenden Ablagemöglichkeiten. Positiv zu erwähnen ist der Parkplatz in rd. 200 Metern Entfernung, so dass es bei Anreise mit PKW keine Abstellsorgen gibt. Bei unserer Ankunft war leider kein Ansprechpartner vor Ort, aber alle Fragen ließen sich telefonisch klären. Wir können De Böhn auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.
