Nachdem wir letztes Jahr in Hinsbourgh übernachtet hatten, beschlossen wir, dieses Jahr in dasselbe Haus zurückzukehren. Das Haus ist sehr komfortabel und verfügt über eine gute Küche und ein Badezimmer sowie ausreichend Platz zum Entspannen, Lesen und Fernsehen im Wohnzimmer. Vor dem Haus haben die Eigentümer eine Sitzgruppe mit Dachüberdachung angelegt, so dass man auch bei Regen draußen sitzen kann. Neben dem Haus befindet sich ein privater Parkplatz zum sicheren Parken des Autos. Wir haben es genossen, die verschiedenen Burgen (und Ruinen) in der näheren Umgebung und Dörfer wie La Petit Pierre und Wingen (wo es einen praktischen kleinen Carrefour gibt) zu besuchen. In der Umgebung gibt es mehrere Museen zur Kristallglasherstellung. Dieses Jahr haben wir einige längere Ausflüge nach Nancy, Colmar und Metz unternommen, was an einem Tag durchaus machbar ist. Die Region ist so schön, dass sie nicht sehr touristisch ist, aber Sie können die Sehenswürdigkeiten nach Belieben besuchen. Die Besitzer, Christine und Phillipe, sind sehr freundliche Menschen, die sich problemlos auf Deutsch und Französisch mit Ihnen unterhalten können. Wenn Sie vor dem Haus sitzen, können Sie viele „Bonjours“ und „Grüße“ mit den Dorfbewohnern üben, die vorbeigehen und Sie donnerstags zum wöchentlichen Flamkuchenfest einladen.
