AUSTRIAN HOTEL REGULATIONS CANCELLATION POLICY
Withdrawal from the Accommodation Contract
1. Up to three months before the agreed arrival date of the guest, the accommodation contract can be terminated by either contracting party without a cancellation fee by unilateral declaration. The cancellation declaration must be in the hands of the contracting partner no later than three months before the agreed arrival date of the guest.
2. Up to one month before the agreed arrival date of the guest, the accommodation contract can be terminated by either contracting party by unilateral declaration, however, a cancellation fee amounting to 40% of the room price must be paid. The cancellation declaration must be in the hands of the contracting partner no later than one month before the agreed arrival date of the guest.
3. The accommodation provider has the right to withdraw from the contract if the guest does not arrive by 6 p.m. on the agreed arrival date unless a later time of arrival has been agreed upon.
4. If the guest has made a deposit, then the room(s) remain reserved until no later than 12 p.m. the following day.
5. Even if the guest does not use the ordered rooms or the meal services, he is obliged to pay the agreed fee to the accommodation provider. However, the accommodation provider must deduct what he has saved due to non-utilization of his service offer or what he has received through alternative renting of the ordered rooms. No cancellation fees apply up to 3 months before cancellation, 40% up to one month before the arrival date, 70% up to one week before the arrival date, and 90% in the last week before the arrival date of the total arrangement price.
6. It is the duty of the accommodation provider to make an effort to rent out the rooms not used by the guest according to the circumstances (§ 1107 ABGB).
