The luxury villa Contessina is located on the west coast of Istria, in the small town of Novigrad, whose charm leaves no one indifferent. The accommodation capacity of the villa is for a maximum of eight people. On the ground floor there is a wellness oasis consisting of a jacuzzi, sauna and relaxation zone, as well as a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room with a showcase full of domestic and foreign wine. This room is designed for socializing with a glass of good wine with a view of the beautiful pool. There are two spacious bedrooms and one bathroom on the mezzanine floor. On the first floor of the villa there is a living room and a kitchen with access to a terrace with a view of the Novigrad marina and the beautiful sea.
On the second mezzanine floor there are two more bedrooms and one bathroom.
In the courtyard of the villa there is a beautiful swimming pool of 40 m2 and 1.6 m deep, around which there are 8 deck chairs where you can enjoy the summer sun. An outdoor grill and an outdoor dining table are also available.
Two parking spaces are at your disposal, and there are additional parking spaces outside the yard.
There are several beautiful beaches in Novigrad where you can enjoy all the benefits of the crystal clear Adriatic Sea. The youngest will surely be delighted by the numerous interesting facilities of Aquapark Istralandia, which is located 5 minutes' drive from the villa.
The surrounding towns near Novigrad also offer diverse and interesting activities, such as wine tours, olive oil tours or truffle hunting. Istria is known for its exceptional gastronomic offer, from which world-famous premium wines such as Malvasia, Merlot or Teran stand out.
Wine in Istria is recognized for its superior quality, which it owes to a particularly favorable geographical location and the quality of the soil, known as "Quattro terre". This peculiarity enabled the exceptional quality of not only the cultivation of vines, but also of extra virgin olive oil, which is valued as number one in Europe. Truffles are another superb, expensive delicacy that will delight all true gourmets with their specific and astringent taste.
The city of Novigrad-Cittanova is located on the northwestern coast of the Istrian peninsula, 25 km from the border with Slovenia. It is about 15 kilometers away from the nearby city centers - Poreč, Umag and Buje.
The city area covers an area of 27 km2, from Dajla in the north to the mouth of the Mirna river in the south. The City officially includes a total of five settlements. These are: Antenal, Bužinija, Dajla, Mareda and Novigrad.

The area of ??today's Novigrad was already inhabited in ancient times, as evidenced by numerous monuments and archaeological sites. In written documents, Novigrad is mentioned as Neapolis in VII. century, that is, as Civitas Nova in the 9th century. century, and from the XII. century in church sources as Emona, Emonia, Aemonia. As the ancient seat of the diocese (from the 5th/6th century until 1831), the bishops of Novigrad, as suffragans of the archbishops of Aquileia/Grade, had jurisdiction over the territory that stretched to the Dragonja River in the north and to the Mirna River in the southeast.
Due to its location on a small peninsula and its fertile natural hinterland, Novigrad was often at the crossroads of rich historical events. The city has been experiencing its renaissance since the 8th century. to IX. century when, as the seat of the Frankish prince Ivan, it became the starting point of the spreading feudalization and thereby joined the stage of European culture. Due to frequent wars and infectious diseases, the city experiences in the period XVI-XVII. century his stagnation, when he almost relaxed.
Passing through the Byzantine (VI-VII century), Frankish (VIII-IX century), German (X-XII century), Venetian (1270-1797), Napoleonic (1805-1813), Austro-Hungarian periods (1814-1918) and the Italian (1918-1943) administration, he adapted to the given situations. House Rules:
? The guests are required to leave the property in the same condition as it was prior to their arrival, otherwise an additional cleaning fee will be deducted from the security deposit
? If a guest's behavior results in damages (except normal wear and tear) to the property and immediate surroundings of the property the deposit shall not be returned.
? Additionally, if the guest’s behavior results in extraordinary damages that is greater than the amount of the deposit, the guests will be charged the rest of the costs. The guests need to pay the rest of the costs prior to the checkout or the authorities will be called upon.
? Only guests who are registered and previously communicated with the host can sleep in the house.
? If the guests are coming with pets, and do not inform the Property Manager or Home Owner before their arrival, or latest on the check-in, the deposit will not be returned
? If there are guests in the property about whom the host has not been informed the deposit will not be returned.
? Smoking inside the property is strictly forbidden. If there are visible signs of smoking, an Ionization cleaning fee of 500 EUR will be charged
? It’s forbidden for the pets to use the indoor swimming pool and whirlpool. Deposit will not be returned if this happens.
