The house in Margens is located in the middle of northern East Frisia and is 2 km in the East of Esens, one of the nicest original cities in East Frisia.
The towns Bensersiel (5 km) and Neuharlingersiel (8 km) are fast to arrive. From these cities ships ferry to the islands Langeoog and Spiekeroog.
The landscape is originally and tempts to long-termed walks and bicycle tours; unbroken surfaces make bicyle tours for the whole family possible.
Bigger towns in the area are Wittmund and Jever.
