Direct access via the Mura di Tramontana (Old City Wall Promenade) to the beach (20m). All facilities for daily needs are within walking distance. Bars, gelateria, pastry shops, restaurants from simple to upscale, markets, daily fish market, supermarket, newsstand, and much more. You can leave your car parked and relax.
The apartment can be air-conditioned and heated via a heat pump. Ecological hot water supply through solar system. Satellite TV, washing machine, large refrigerator.
Due to its unique location in the old town, you'll experience the local land and people up close. It's easy to make contact and soon you'll know the baker, the barista, or the 80-year-old newspaper man with good German skills from next door. The most important restaurateurs are also personally friends with us and serve our guests with warmth. You'll experience true city life in a still original town without mass tourism.
The fish market is also very traditional, with fish coming directly from the boat to the market. Wonderful seasonal vegetables and fruit are sold directly by farmers and itinerant traders.
The religious festivals around Easter with their numerous processions, which can be watched directly from the apartment's balcony, are particularly interesting.

I, Flavia, am a Northern Italian, a translator, and also run a campsite on Lake Maggiore on the side. My husband is German and a freelance architect. We love Sicily and the warm and hospitable people there. We ourselves spend several weeks a year in Sicily and live in an apartment next door.
