Holiday destination
Pitsidia is a quiet village, with a long tradition of hospitality. It is 65 km southwest of Iraklion and within the community Pitsidia, 4 km south-west lies the renowned seaside resort of Matala. At a distance of 1500 m. is the long sandy beach and the antiquities Kommos.
The climate is temperate and it promotes longevity and well-being, as the inhabitants of the village famous for their longevity. The immaculate accommodation units that are taverns with traditional cuisine, the flavor of the Greek cafes with their coffee, as well as the cosmopolitan ambience of the area in the summer months, guarantee an unforgettable stay for all visitors. Getting there
Pitsidia is located 70 km south-west of Heraklion and the airport is approximately 1,15 hours away. By car you drive from the airport on the highway to Rethymno/Chania. After you turn right towards Heraklion Mires (Moires). This road leads directly to the small town of Mires. Before entering the place you turn to the left in the direction of Pitsidia / Matala. You go from there about 10 to 15 minutes to Pitsidia.

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt in der Villa Elia. Sehr schön eingerichtet, die Küche komplett ausgestattet es fehlt an nichts. Viele leckere Tavernen, zu unschlagbaren Preisen, sind zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Wir waren mehrmals in Mike`s Taverne, wo es in der Küche immer besondere Leckerreien gab, die nicht in der Karte stehen. Auch der Poolbereich hat uns sehr gefallen. In der Umgebung kann man durch die Olivenhaine spazieren und zum Strand sind es keine 5 min. mit dem Auto. Wir kommen wieder!!!

Liebe Maria, lieber Xenophon
Nun durften wir das 2 mal unseren Urlaub in Eurer Villa Elia verbringen und es hat wieder an nichts gefehlt. Das Haus und der Garten und Pool sind in einem tadellosen Zustand, Euer herzlicher Empfang und Euer zurückhaltendes aber stetes Kümmern waren eine Wohltat. Wir fühlten uns schon fast wie in einem zweiten Zuhause. Wir sagen Danke und bis bald - wir kommen wieder!
