In our vicinity, there are numerous ski resorts such as Ritten, Obereggen, Seiseralm, Meran 2000, Reinswald. There, you can go skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, or simply enjoy snowshoeing. The Lake Kaltern or one of the two Montiggl Lakes is suitable for ice skating.
Holiday destination
Kristallhof is situated above the renowned Lake Caldaro, nestled in the midst of pristine nature, away from noise and hustle. From the house, you'll find numerous hiking and biking trails. In Lake Caldaro (10 km away), you can swim, sail, and more—everything your heart desires. Numerous castles and fortresses, the gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, Venice, Verona, or a day trip to Lake Garda are within reach. In 30 minutes, you can get to various ski resorts. The Christmas markets are also quite popular.
Getting there
Exit the Brenner motorway south, take the Bolzano-Merano expressway, exit at Appiano, then head towards Caldaro. At the third roundabout, take the first exit on the right, then follow the signs for "Altenburg" (9 km). You will reach Altenburg through a beautiful beech forest.

Liebe Renate, lieber Franz, wir haben einen wunderschönen erholsamen Urlaub bei Euch verbracht und weil für uns alles gepasst hat gleich fürs nächste Jahr wieder gebucht . Wir lieben die Berge und der tolle Blick von der großen Terrasse zum Frühstück und am Abend waren wunderschön. Die Ferienwohnung war mit Liebe zum Detail gemütlich und mit allem Komfort ausgestattet. Es gab sehr viel Schrankplatz im Bad, Schlafzimmer und in der großen Einbauküche mit Geschirrspüler, Backofen und Mikrowelle. Der Apfelsaft und Rotwein vom eigenen Hof waren sehr lecker und natürlich der selbst gebackene Apfelstrudel .Wir lieben die Kombination von Wandern, Radfahren und Schwimmen gehen, was im Kalterer See und in den Montigler Seen gut möglich war. Wir haben einen wundervollen Urlaub bei Franz und Renate verbracht. Selten wird man mit so viel Herzlichkeit empfangen. Die Ferienwohnung ist gut ausgestattet, alles wurde liebevoll hergerichtet. Der Blick in die Berge traumhaft. Wir wurden mit leckerem Apfelsaft, Wein, Strudel, Brötchenservice und natürlich netten Gesprächen verwöhnt. Die Lage ist perfekt für zahlreiche Wanderungen und Ausflüge. Wir freuen uns schon auf ein Wiedersehen und wünschen Familie Reichegger alles Gute
