Holiday destination
Morayshire is famous for golden barley fields used to supply around 50 Whisky distilleries in the region. These all conduct free tasting tours. All along the coast are Fishing Villages, beaches, great places to cycle and walk and ancient Castles.
Spey Bay Dolphin Centre is one of Europe's most spectacular Nature reserves full of Sea life and every kind of bird. If you enjoy golf or fishing there are an abundance of opportunities.
There are walking routes such as the "Speyside Way" or the "Moray Coastal Trail", the latter takes you through the cliffs and sand. Above all there is an abundance of space to live. There are also specially made mountain biking trails very close by.
Getting there
The Granary is not in a Village or Town, so it will be necessary to study a map of roads. Generally, it is half way between the Major Cities of Aberdeen and Inverness.
From Aberdeen, the main A96 road passes through a town called "Keith", from there follow signs for "Buckie".
From Inverness also follow the A96 and turn on to the A98 at Fochabers heading for Buckie. This is the nearest large town and is a Fishing port. The Granary is five km on the right before Buckie heading East on the A98, up a single track road that signposts to "Oran".

Host informationHello, we are a Scottish Family and this is our Home in Morayshire that we are renting for holidays. It is situated up a Farm road and there are four other houses spread wide apart. Otherwise we are surrounded in Farmland. The Sea is close by.

Ein sehr schönes, etwas abgelegenes, Haus um einen entspannten Familienurlaub zu verbringen. Das Haus hat alles zu bieten was man benötigt und der Garten ist auch sehr schön. Die Umgebung, vorallem die in der Nähe gelegenen Küste, ist traumhaft. Wir würden definitiv wieder hier her kommen.
