Holiday destination
The property is located in the historic heart of the village opposite the mairie (town hall). The babbling village spring with the old washhouse is right next door and offers a refreshing footbath after a hot day. The village lies on the unspoilt Orbieu between vineyards. Baker, grocer, post office, café/restaurant and tobacco/magazines around the corner. The imposing Cathar castles, the fortress of Carcassonne (cultural heritage) or the Canal du midi and the beach and sea can be reached quickly by car. The good motorway connection is a big plus. In one hour you are in front of the world-famous Dali Museum in Figueras. But directly from the house you can start walking into the woods, vineyards and to the river.

Matthias ist ein wunderbarer Gastgeber. Sehr zurückhaltend aber bei Bedarf gibt es immer nützliche Informationen. Der Winzer vor Ort hat einen ganz tollen Rosé für schmales Geld. Die Unterkunft hat ganz viel Charme und ist mit Liebe eingerichtet. Und hat es so gut gefallen, dass wir gleich wieder eine Unterkunft gebucht haben.

Im September haben wir als Paar das Maison de Maitre für 2 Wochen gemietet. Wir habendes in diesem Herrenhaus mit französischem Flair sehr wohl gefühlt. Alle Zimmer sind einzigartig eingerichtet mit vielen kleinen und schönen Details. Die Ausstattung in der Küche ist sehr vielfältig mit schönem , großem Kühlschrank und Gefrierfach. Ideal der wunderschöne Innenhof mit vielen Pflanzen, der zum Verweilen einlädt. Ob zum Frühstück oder Abends bei Kerzenschein, alleine oder mit anderen Gästen . Aber für einen besonderen Wohlfühleffekt hat der Gastgeber Mathias beigetragen. Mathias, deine Herzlichkeit, Kommunikation und deine inspirierenden Ideen sind für uns etwas ganz besonderes. Wir kommen wieder in dieses einzigartige Domizil - und dass sagt schon alles.
