Holiday destination
The chicken coop is located within our farm complex, on Unkenberg. It's perched on a hilltop with views of the surrounding mountains. All daily necessities can be found in the town 3 km away. Nearby, there are several ski areas (from the small family ski area Heutal to the vast Saalbach Hinterglemm ski circus, everything is included). It's just under 50 minutes to the festival city of Salzburg. Whether you want to go to the thermal baths, ski, hike, or simply relax on your own terrace - you decide every day.
Getting there
Coming from Germany via the former Steinpass border crossing, straight through the Unken bypass tunnel, take the first exit to the right towards Unkenberg. Continue as below
Coming from Tyrol or Saalfelden, before the Unken tunnel, turn left towards Unkenberg.
For both options: then go straight past the Vitzthum sawmill, always keeping towards Unkenberg, after about 2 km you will already see our chapel. Here lies the destination for your dream vacation!

wir waren innerhalb eines Jahres schon 2 x im Hühnerstall, weil es uns so gut gefallen hat.
Es ist soooo gemütlich, alles passt bis ins Detail,
vom Hotpot über die Sauna, das wunderschöne Haus, die Ruhe, die extrem herzlichen Gastgeber
(vor allem auch, die selbstgemachten, mega leckeren Aufmerksamkeiten, die man geschenkt bekommt).
Man braucht eigentlich gar kein gutes Wetter, wobei es in der Umgebung extrem viele Wandermöglichkeiten gibt, weil man gar nicht vom Hühnerstall weg will:)
Vielen lieben Dank an Markus und seine Frau,
wenn es unsere Zeit zulässt, kommen wir natürlich unwahrscheinlich gerne wieder.
