We are located in the center of Umhausen and in the heart of the Ötztal valley. From the house, you can reach restaurants, a supermarket, and a bakery within a few minutes' walk.
In winter, the ski resorts Sölden, Hochoetz-Küthai, and Obergurgl-Hochgurgl are easily accessible by car or ski bus. You can start winter hiking and cross-country skiing right from the house.
In the summer, you can start your hikes directly from the house, and the Umhausen swimming lake, as well as the Ötzi Village and the Stuibenfall waterfall, are in the immediate vicinity.
Getting there
From Munich or Salzburg, take the A93 to Kufstein, then continue on the A12 motorway via Innsbruck to Ötztal, followed by the B186 to Umhausen-Niederthai.
Bad Tölz - Achenpass - B181 - Jenbach - A12 motorway - Exit Ötztal - B186 (35km).
Pfronten - Reutte - Fernpass - Imst - A12 motorway - Exit Ötztal or B171 to Ötztal (toll-free).

Etwas skeptisch angereist, aber wir sind positiv überrascht worden. Sehr schönes Haus, vor allen Dingen für "Großfamilien" empfehlenswert. Sehr nette, aufmerksame Vermieter. Sehr saubere Wohnungen, moderne Einrichtung. Auch ich als Nichtskifahrer habe mich in der Woche in Umhausen sehr wohl gefühlt. Mit Enkel und Hund so manchen Wanderweg erkundet. Hierbei kam der Wunsch auf, diese Gegend dann auch mal im Sommer zu erleben. Dies werden meine Frau und ich sicherlich in absehbarer Zeit machen. Und dann natürlich wieder bei Familie Waldhart.
