NEW!
Great and atmospheric villa, at walking distance from the idealistic centre of Saint-Paul-de-Vence with its medieval town centre full of galleries other artists' expressions. The villa is freely and beautifully situated on a plot of more than 5,000 m2, with free and spacious views of and other attractive village: La-Colle-sur-Loup. If you stand on your toes, you can see a small sea view, towards the beaches of Nice.
The house has a spacious (heated) swimming pool, a sauna, several lovely terraces, and is offered for 8 people but, should the need arise, the 2-person bed in the studio can also be made up so that we can accommodate 10 people here.
Much of the house was built in the 1800s and you can still see many atmospheric aspects here such as the wooden beamed ceiling in the library and the stairs to the first floor with the master bedroom and a guest room.
In total, including the studio, there are five bedrooms and four bathrooms.
The layout is as follows: Spacious driveway with enough space for several cars, entrance, bright hallway with access to the living area on the right side, and 2 bedrooms on the left.
The living area is connected to a library and the attractive and well-equipped kitchen diner. Both the living area and the kitchen diner have French doors opening onto a terrace with relaxing seating, a dining table and BBQ (Big Green Egg).
Behind the library is the historic staircase to the first floor with the master bedroom with double bed and balcony where you can pick your own oranges from the tree in the early season. Furthermore, a dressing room and a modern bathroom with toilet and walk-in shower. The 2nd bedroom is also on this floor with 2 x single beds and a private bathroom with shower.
Via the hall on the left, the other 2 bedrooms are located, 1 x with 2 spacious beds (1.20 x 2m) and the other with 2 x single beds. Both these rooms share the 3rd modern bathroom with shower and toilet. In the spacious studio there is a billiard table, a jukebox, a pinball machine, an extra lounge as well as the extra double bed.
All rooms are air-conditioned and there is professional internet with a fibre-optic connection.
The garden and terraces are again spacious and well cared for. There is a private pool 12 x 6m with emerald green mosaic tiles, heated on request and with electric cover-roller shutter. Below is the sauna with a window to a private garden area. Furthermore, a large lawn for sunbathing or playing and terraces around the pool, near the living room, the kitchen and/or at the side of the house with terrace lighting and heating to be able to eat or read outside (covered) also later in the evening. All very well maintained and with complete privacy!

It is artists who helped Sain-Paul-de-Vence to its current fame. Like Marc Chagall who had a house in the village. Pablo Picasso and Jean-Paul Satre also stayed there for some time. In the 1960s, Saint-Paul de Vence became popular with well-known French TV personalities and writers. Many celebrities such as Roger Moore and Tina Turner have also had houses or homes in or around the historic village. You will therefore not find any starting artists in Saint-Paul de Vence, but art galleries and several museums keep the history alive.
There is also no lack of good restaurants and nice terraces!
Saint-Paul de Vence is a small medieval village in the south of France in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in the Alpes-Maritimes department. The village is just under 10 kilometres from the coast and can be reached from the well-known seaside resort of Nice in about half an hour by private transport.
Saint Paul de Vence is one of the most famous beautiful villages in the Cote D'Azur. Many tourists come here throughout the year but especially in the summer months, the village steams up. The medieval atmosphere is well preserved! With narrow cobbled streets, old stone houses, cosy squares and fountains. From the ramparts you have a wide view of the surrounding area and even the coast. The oldest buildings date back to the 13th century!
In the high season you can only reserve this accommodation with a minimum stay of 1 week; arrival and departure on Sunday. Outside the high season are other arrival and departure days possible.
