Diano Marina is a Ligurian coastal town which you will notice because of its white sand beaches, beach pines, palm and olive trees. The town has a museum with finds from the pre-Roman and Roman time and piece of memories from the Napoleonic era.
After an earthquake which destroyed the town in the 19th Century it was rebuilt and now it owns many shops, night clubs and offers the possibility of various sport activities. Particularly interesting are daily tour to whale watching.
Getting there
Coming from the direction of Genoa/Nice you take the motorway exit San Bartolomeo al Mare
and drive in the direction of Diano Marina. From Diano Marina drive in the direction of
Diano San Pietro. When you arrive in Diano San Pietro (small Piazza) follow the
signpost for Roncagli. 50 metres after the signpost for Roncagli there is a street on the
right handside which is very steep. ( you must reverse your vehicle in order to take the
curve on Via Primo Maggio). Follow this road uphill for approximately 1,5 km until you see the
three green garage"Ca Gianca 21" on the left hand side. You can leave your car under the carport in front of them.
